The main reason they are limited to these countries is so they can provide accurate information to the companies they partner with. A majority of the companies they work with are located in those countries.

Yes! Survey Junkie has been in business since 2013 and has over 3 million members.

They are extremely transparent in everything they do. They don’t ask for credit card info, which is the #1 sign that you’re heading into scam territory!

We have yet to come across any of our readers that had a bad experience with Survey Junkie.

Step #1: Signing Up For SJ Opinion

When I signed up, I used my Facebook profile and had my account set up within a matter of seconds.

After answering a few more questions (like I mentioned above), I had already earned my first 50 points in no time flat.

I continued to confirm my email and take a quick tour of the dashboard and already earned over $1 in what seemed like less than 3 minutes of time.

Step #2: Start Taking Paid Surveys

In the dashboard, you’ll see a handful of surveys you can click on to get started.

These are just a handful of the surveys that were offered to me right after I signed into my account for the first time.

As you can see, the options will tell you how long they should take plus how many points you’ll get for your time.

Once you click on a survey, you’ll be asked to answer a few short qualifying questions. You won’t qualify for every survey, but most of the time, we found that you won’t be wasting time getting right into the paid surveys.

This is exactly what we meant above about putting people into categories, basically into focus groups for taking surveys.

These questions ensure you are the correct match for getting started, so you’re in the right focus groups for questionnaires.

A good thing to consider doing once you start taking surveys is completely filling out your profile.

As you can see, the more complete your profile is, the higher your chances of receiving higher-paying surveys.

Once you’ve completed surveys, your points start to gather quickly.

After finishing a paid survey, it was always nice to see confirmation that I earned the rewards and saw them go directly to my account.

Step #3: Redeem Your Points

Survey Junkie makes redeeming your money as simple as possible.

Once you earn 1,000 points (equal to $10), you simply request a payout. You can choose payouts via PayPal (real money is Kelan’s pick) or gift cards (Starbucks and Target for me, please!).

I went to redeem my points for a $10 Target gift card after about a month, which averaged to about 30 points a day- not too much work!

We also liked that Survey Junkie had a “history” screen. It’s another feature that makes Survey Junkie stand out as one of the best-paid sites around.

You never have to guess again which surveys you took, paid what amount, or if your running total is correct.

How Much Can I Make With Survey Junkie?

Being completely honest, the bottom line is that taking online paid surveys is not going to make you rich.

Survey sites won’t replace your main source of income, and you certainly will not be able to pay your mortgage with them.

BUT!

Survey Junkie is a way to earn extra income to pay off your debt, save for retirement, or help pay for a nice vacation.

Survey Junkie’s a great option for those looking to earn money on their own schedule.

You can take online surveys between 5 – 25 minutes most of the time, and payout anywhere between 10 – 100 points ($0.10 – $1).

As we’ve mentioned, it’s important to remember that you aren’t going to make a ton of money from answering surveys on Survey Junkie.

As personal finance gurus, we have tons of side hustles you can try to earn thousands per month, but survey apps are a smaller payout in a short amount of time.

With the actual surveys on SJ, please note that you may be disqualified for some surveys if you don’t fit the demographic the survey is for.

Like I wouldn’t qualify for a survey geared for men interested in fishing and hunting.

My Experience With Survey Junkie

We have had nothing but a good experience with Survey Junkie and would highly recommend it.

Yes, it is 100% a legitimate site that you can use to earn points that can be used for free gift cards and PayPal cash.

We have tested it out with our own Survey Junkie account, and we also know people who are currently using it.

Survey Junkie actually has a B rating with the Better Business Bureau, so it’s pretty solid for the majority of people.

How Long Does It Take To Redeem My Points?

There is a payout threshold that you have to reach before you will get paid by Survey Junkie. You need 1,000 points ($10) to cash out rewards from your account.

That means each point is worth 1 cent, so a 5 point survey is 5 cents for those 5 minutes of work.

This can happen quickly, depending on how active you are- in my first 2 weeks on the app, I had earned 500 points ($5). If you do a similar pace, earning 500 points every 2 weeks, then you’ll be able to cash out within a month.

However, earning that many points depends on your number of surveys each week. But it shouldn’t take you longer than 2-3 months to cash out if you do one every once in a while.
