Sustainability and Logistics: Re-Thinking the US Freight Industry

Spencer Steliga, the CEO and Founder of Shuddl, an AI-powered platform pairing unused freight space with shippers, available goods to reduce cost, waste, carbon use while increasing sustainability and logistics performance joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Spencer Steliga discuss the following:

Can you give us a quick explanation of what Less Than Truck Load means and why you saw a need for a solution like Shuddl?
OK, what does Shuddl do exactly and are there other alternatives out in the freight industry today?
I understand that Shuddl helps truck operators/drivers more efficiently move freight so that their trucks are full – can you tell me what the advantages are for the truck owners?
Do you see Shuddl as part of the broader supply chain solution and will your technology help us become more resilient in the event of future supply chain disruptions?

Spencer Steliga, is the CEO and Founder of Shuddl. A successful entrepreneur since the age of 15, Spencer Steliga is a problem-solver. That trait lead him to start his first of several businesses, and has made him uncannily prescient at using tech solutions to address issues in the shipping industry. Before founding Shuddl, Steliga put his talents to good use at Pinwheel Logistics, a boutique brokerage that grew from $30,000 in revenue to $12 million; and Flock Freight, a shared truckloads broker.

After bootstrapping Shuddl, Steliga brought in $7.5 million in the first year. His industry-first, real-time, in-transit resource for live freight additions turns wasted space into revenue for professional drivers and allows companies to access capacity in motion, decreasing logistics costs while improving arrival time by 30%.

Steliga has also founded Redturn, a sustainability incubator and resource for early stage impactful products and the ethical individuals behind them. Through both Shuddl and Redturn, Steliga looks for simple technology and design solutions to complex problems.
